Hi Tony,

Are there any plans to fix the issue when getRowData returns a cell's html content while the cell is being edited?  I have a workaround using $('#' + i + '_' + columnName).val() but I would like to fix this in my code, as its a bit ugly.

The problem really manifests itself when a user edits a row, then clicks on a save button while the edit is still active.

Regards,

Bob

Hello,

Sorry, but it will be not corrected. In order to resolve your problem - there is a event aftersavefunc, where you can call getRowData to get the saved elements.

Best Regards

Tony

Hi Tony,

The problem I have is the user will typically edit a row, and not click on anything else inside the grid which saves the row.  Save button functionality is external to the grid.  I assume aftersavefunc doesn't fire in this case, so I'm not sure what this will solve..?  I have tried different events inside the edited fields to force saveRow or saveCell, none of which have worked.

Regards,

Bob

Why not just call saveRow from your external function, before calling getRowData...

But I've tried it, and it does work 🙂

Make sure you're calling it with the correct id...
