Frozen colums and formEdit error

Hi,

I found that if I set frozen columns, then attempt a formedit (by clicking the pencil icon on the actions column), I'll get an undefined error at line 5275 (version 4.4.5) as $t.p will be undefined. I fixed it by changing line 5272 from this:

$grid = $(this).closest("table.ui-jqgrid-btable")

to:

$("table.ui-jqgrid-btable").first()

It looks like the closest selector was grabbing the frozen table instead of the initial one, and the frozen table didn't have the p attribute.

Hello,

Many thanks. Yes it is a bug. The fix you recommend is not very good. I will try to fix this and make frozen cols compatible with formatter rowactions.Moreover there are more problems here.

I wind this very practical - i.e the col with actions to stay frozen while browse horizontally.

Glad to help. Well, the fix works for me in my limited understanding of jqgrid so I'll keep using that for now
