I have solution to this. jqGrid has 2 headers to consider, when use Frozen Columns feature. Problem is, overlay Div is not kept in synch with true table header column with respect to sort icon. Is minor issue to synch them with small jQuery patch:
onSortCol: function (index, iCol, sortorder) { var $jg = $(this); var isFrozen = $jg.jqGrid('getColProp', index)['frozen']; if (isFrozen) { console.log('index=' + index + ',iCol=' + iCol + ',sortorder=' + sortorder); // look in the "real" header for the correct sort icons // copy that to the "fake" header used for Frozen column var par = $jg.closest('.ui-jqgrid-view'); var headers = par.children('.ui-jqgrid-hdiv'); if (headers.length === 2) { var master = headers.get(0); var slave = headers.get(1); var mHdr = $('table th', master).get(iCol); var sHdr = $('table th', slave).get(iCol); $('span.s-ico', sHdr).remove(); $('span.s-ico', mHdr).clone().appendTo($('.ui-jqgrid-sortable', sHdr)); } } }
