error "Cannot read property 'formatter' of undefined" when reloading grid

Hi,

I have a grid and want to switch it from single- to multi-selection mode.

My piece of code looks like this

$("#myGrid").jqGrid('setGridParam', {multiselect: true});

$("#myGrid").trigger("reloadGrid");

Unfortunatelly, second line of code gives an error:

Cannot read property 'formatter' of undefined

I'm using jqGrid in version 4.4.1

Is there a different way of switching between multi and single selection mode, to avoid above error?

Hi Slawek,

dynamical changing of multiselect option of jqGrid is not supported by jqGrid. In the old answer on the stackoverflow I describe how it could be do implemented with some restrictions.
