If I define the options for the add/edit/delete buttons while creating the grid, and then call them using the API and editGridRow (without setting any new options), it is like I never set them at all. SHouldn't the options be the same whether I click on a button in the toolbar or if I call the function using the API. They should only be different if I change them in my API call.
The way it is now, I have to repeat all of my options, when setting up the grid, and then when calling the function from an external function using the API.
Thoughts?

This is not true. In the navGrid we set a lot of options which differ from the default settings.
