Hi,
I'm using grid 3.5.3 with cell editing.
I define a column with format currency or number, and I set the defaultValue to " "
If I go into a cell and clear it, then press enter then the cell saves ok with the empty value.
If I then go back into the empty cell to edit it and I press esc to cancel the editing, I don't get the " " value back but 0 or 0.00 instead.
If I do a getchangedcells this change is not reflected as of course I've pressed esc and not enter.
Is there a special case with using " " that causes this behaviour?

Hello,
No special case. jqGrid by default insert this nbsp when there is no value.

Hi,
Why does the cell revert back to 0.00 when I'm using a currency or a number formatter?
I'd imagine that when I enter a cell to edit and the value is "", and I then press ESC the value should revert to "". Instead it's 0.00.

Hello,
Since the nbsp is interpreted as empry value in jqGrid and the default value for the number and currenccy formatter is 0. Maybe you should put in formatoptions the defaultValue for number or change it in language file.
