Hi,

jqGrid 3.7.2 is not fully compatible with jQuery UI 1.8.4:

Row selection slows down and the grid becomes unusable with FF and Chrome.

It is caused by the following line of jquery-ui.custom.css

.ui-widget :active { outline: none; }

Thank you for investigation, but I can not confirm this.

A test case wiil be a good proof of this report.

Thanks again

Best Regards

Tony

I just want to confirm that I have made the experiences with slow speed on selecting rows. The problem could be solved with the given workaroud.

Here are some others having the same problem:

http://stackoverflow.com/quest.....8-jqueryui

There is also an example given, which demonstrates the behaviour. Works fine with IE6, but seems to be very slow FF>3.6 (not tested any lower version).

Hello Tony

I can conform that the problem with existence of

.ui-widget :active { outline: none; }

in the jQuery UI 1.8.X CSS really exist. You can see the demos http://www.ok-soft-gmbh.com/jq.....nbsp;which performance is OK in the Firefox and http://www.ok-soft-gmbh.com/jq.....nbsp;which has the original jQuery UI 1.8.6 CSS and which is very slow in Firefox.

Till now I can not found an elegant way to remove .ui-widget :active { outline: none; } without having a copy of jQuery UI 1.8.6 CSS.

Best regards
Oleg

Oleg,

Thank you very much again.

Such kind of bug descriptions and examples are much apreciated.

If we know the problem we solve it to 50% :)

Will see how to overcome this.
