I'm using jqGrid 4.4.4 with jQueryUI 1.10.0 and jQuery 1.9.0.
I have a grid with tree columns and the third one has fixed width. In some cases I empty the grid and I load new rows and all works well.
Now, if I sort rows with drag&drop and then I empty grid loading new values, I get all columns with the same width (but the column headers width is still correct).
With jqGrid 4.4.1, jQueryUI 1.8.16 and jQuery 1.7.2 it works perfectly.

Just curious, could you please test with the following configuration

And let me know if this is ok.
Thank you

Hello,
To overcome the problem set in grid option deepempty to true
...jqGrid({
...
deepempty : true,
...
});
Enjoy
