1.

in colModal: {searchoptions:{dataInit:datePick, attr:{title:’Select Date’}}}

the attr is not set on the element.

2.

jqGrid version: 4.0 and later.

in colModal: {stype:"select"}

the select element is empty, no any <option> in advanced searching.

But it's fine in form editing.

full example code is too much, so I don't post it.

I think the reason is that when creating <select> element in advaced searching, the editoptions.value is ignored.

The bug may be in line 372 of grid.filter.js of jqGrid 4.1.2:
var elm = $.jgrid.createEl(cm.inputtype,cm.searchoptions, "", true, that.p.ajaxSelectOptions, true);

It should be:
var elm = $.jgrid.createEl(cm.inputtype,$.extend({},cm.searchoptions,cm.editoptions.value), "", true, that.p.ajaxSelectOptions, true);
