Please, replace in file "jquery.searchFilter.js" line:
selDOMobj = o.find(".ops > select[class='field"+i+"']")[0];
to:
selDOMobj = o.find(".ops > select.field"+i)[0];
Since <select> element may also have a class "vdata".
Also in file "grid.formedit.js" replace line:
if (success) { gridDOMobj.SearchFilter.add(); }
to:
if (success && (i < li-1)) { gridDOMobj.SearchFilter.add(); }
So preset filter looks better (no unnecessary line).

About the second. We have the same discussion with the author of this addition. Maybe a option for this should be added.
