Hello,
I think I found a bug in jqGrid v. 4.0 when using the filterToolbar.
The input IDs for the user input fields are created like
id="gs_<column_name>"
As soon as you hit <enter> in one of the input boxes of the filtertoolbar, the plugin is collecting all user-input-values in order to send it back to the server.
Problem here, the input elements are selected like
…
nm = this.index || this.name; // notice the index property is picked first
…
$("#gs_"+$.jgrid.jqID(nm), $t.grid.hDiv).val();
–> if you set up an index property in your colModel, the index will be used to find back the input element and not the unique name!!
The user inputs won't be found and are never posted back to the server.
