The following line used to be in 3.1 it is now missing in 3.2.3
if(ts.p.jsonReader.cell) {cur = cur[ts.p.jsonReader.cell];}
If I add the line (line# 642) it works like it used to

Hi I am having a similar problem. Using firefox 3 (on mac) the example page loading with json. There is just nothing loading. Firebug show on line
jqgrid.base.js # 626
row.id = cur[idn] || cur[ts.p.jsonReader.cell][idn] || i+1;
cur[ts.p.json.Reader.cell] is undefined.
Which file you add that line and fix it?

Sounds like that might be a different issue
The file I changed is grid.base.js

Thanks for the quick reply, I see you just released 3.2.4 bug fix release. Do you think this problem might get fixed in the next release?

Yes, there is a problem when we use key:true when jsonReader.
In the next release this will be fully corrected.
